Transdermal patches technology

Health sciences have
evolved quite a bit over the years. Where there were
no other treatments than pills, liquids or needles a few
decades ago, we now have a new alternative. And with
this step into the future, transdermal patches are becoming
very popular with both physicians and patients.
If you've ever wanted to
quit smoking, almost guaranteed you tried the patch at least
once. Then came the pain patch and weight loss patch.
Today there is a patch to treat many ailments, conditions
and addictions.
Much like slow release
vitamins and pain medications for example, transdermal
patches allow nutrients or medications to be delivered into
the bloodstream at a slow but even rate. Once your
body has absorbed everything it needs from the patch, it's
time to apply a new patch.
Some people are allergic to
the ingredients that capsules are made of or fillers in a
pill to keep it together in tablet format. Others get
a skin reaction after an injection.
With transdermal patches,
there is no worries about being exposed to an infected or
dirty needle, or being allergic to ingredients that are not
listed on the package (there is no law requiring to list
non-active ingredients). You can hardly feel a
transdermal patch, you don't feel the ingredients being
passed to your body, you just feel the benefits.
However, like most pain
medications or herbal supplements, it is possible to get too
much of a good thing. Directions on how to use a
transdermal patch should always be followed exactly as
indicated by the manufacturer. Applying more than one
patch at the same time will not give you better or faster
results or relief, it may actually cause more harm than
good. Never adjust the dose yourself without
consulting your doctor first.
Should you require surgery,
dental work, medical tests, or any treatment involving drugs
or medical equipment, always let the professional know about
the patch you are wearing. Even herbal ingredients can
interfere with some medications or increase or decrease the
results of a test and give it a false reading.
There have also been
studies that have recognized that heat increases the
absorption rate on some patches. Although not everyone
reacts in the same manner to drugs or herbs, it may be a
good idea to place the patch on a well covered area of your
body away from direct heat if you are often exposed to the
sun or other heat sources.
If you have any
pre-existing medical conditions, taking prescribed or
over-the-counter medications, or think you could be at risk
by using a penis enlargement patch, please consult your
doctor before ordering. There have never been any side
effects reported with ProEnhance or someone who got ill
because of the patch, but we sure wouldn't want you to be
the first!
